The Heineman Middle School 7th grade boy’s basketball team completed their regular season with a perfect 11-0 record. After winning the regular season conference championship, they entered the conference tournament as the number one seed.
In the tournament, they defeated Northwood Middle School, Lundahl Middle School, and Marlowe Middle School in the championship game to win the tournament championship.
The Hawks defeated Marlowe, Huntley 158’s other middle school, 51-38. The game between intra-district rivals spurred a friendly wager between the schools’ principals, with the losing team’s leader having to sport the colors of the other school.
Marlowe Principal Henry Soltesz was a good sport, tweeting a picture of himself in sporting a Heineman Hawks pullover this morning.

Managers are Elle Bellantuono and Anna Guido. Coaches are Chris Kang and Mark Raistrick.
