Laura Archambeau

Mrs. Laura Archambeau, 5th grade Teacher at Martin Elementary School, is the Star 105.5/Home State Bank Teacher of the Month for January.
Below is the letter of nomination submitted by a former student of hers:
“Mrs. Archambeau, my 4th and 5th grade teacher from Martin Elementary, should be teacher of the month because she teaches creatively and relates with her students. She made it exciting to go to school and learn. Mrs. Archambeau teaches creatively by using parodies of songs to teach us, such as “Timber” for converting improper fractions to mixed numbers.
She relates with the students in so many ways, like recommending books for them to read. She recommended so many books for me to read like Hidden and the Bailey School Kids. Some of these are now my favorite books! She got me more interested in reading.
I had her as my teacher for 4th Grade and 5th Grade. I am now in 7th Grade. Our last day of 5th Grade she made a video for everyone and I still have my copy. Almost everyone in my class was crying after watching the video because it was full of our amazing memories of the year.
Mrs. Archambeau should be teacher of the month because she is the best teacher I’ve ever had. She is a great teacher who really cares about her students, she made our class feel very special, and I wanted to give that feeling back to her. She deserves this to show how much of an impact she has had on every single one of her students. She in an inspiring teacher who I will never forget.”
