Mr. Stotz

Martin Elementary School Principal Jim Stotz has been named the 2016-17 Illinois Principals Association Kishwaukee Region Elementary School Principal of the Year.

Mr. Stotz began his career with Huntley 158 more than 20 years ago as a fourth-grade teacher. He later served as principal of Heineman Middle School before moving back to his elementary school roots in becoming principal at Martin in 2015.

Since joining Martin, he has led a number of initiatives, including the creation of two learning lab collaboration rooms, continued engagement in STEM and robotics, and the installation of an outdoor classroom.

The Illinois Principals Association is a leadership organization that serves almost 5,100 educational leaders throughout the state of Illinois. The organization’s Kishwaukee chapter represents McHenry, Kane, DeKalb, Boone, and Winnebago Counties.
