Ary teaches 7th grade social studies at Heineman and was honored at the chapter’s banquet held February 18 in Huntley. The citation for the award reads, in part:
“Mr. Ary possesses all the qualities of an outstanding teacher: dedication to his students, commitment to the quality of his work and a love of both learning and teaching. Mr. Ary makes learning enjoyable for his students and his students thrive in his teaching environment.”
Moffett was selected based on her “continued dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.”
She also was honored at the local banquet. In addition, she will travel to the District award ceremony and the DAR annual State Conference, where the state winner will be announced.
Congratulations to both of these outstanding members of the Huntley 158 family.
