Huntley 158 Today - Engineering Academy

Huntley High School began offering Project Lead the Way engineering courses a number of years ago and recently formalized its Engineering Academy, a select program for students seeking to focus their studies in STEM and engineering in preparation for college and careers.
On this episode of Huntley 158 Today we speak with Amanda Henk, a teacher who both was instrumental in the formation of the Academy and is coach of the HHS Robotics Team, as well as three students and team members about their experiences so far in the Academy.

In its inaugural season the team has had a number of strong finishes in local and regional competitions.
Huntley High School will host an in-house robotics competition for students in early March. In addition, the HHS Robotics Team will be represented by four squads competing at a McHenry County College competition on March 17.
