Dubem Anikamadu at Red Raider Stadium

Huntley High School standout sprinter Dubem Anikamadu has been named 2017 Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year by the Northwest Herald.
As a junior he took third in the 200 meters at the Class 3A state finals, and anchored the 4×100 relay team that took eighth at state.
“Knowing that I’m only a young junior with plenty of things to improve on, I know I can come back stronger next year,” he told the Northwest Herald in a profile.
For a part of the past season, the 4×100 team held the fastest time in the state. His teammates on the relay included Melvin Aninagyei, Eric Mooney, and Ron Noll and Anikamadu.
