Harpal Singh

Harpal Singh, a 2017 graduate of Huntley High School, was honored with an award and scholarship at the Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago (PCS) Punjabi Youth Graduation and Scholarships Awards Night on June 11.
He was presented with the award by Harinder Pal Singh, President and CEO of Management and Information Technology Solutions, Inc.
Harpal will attend the University of Illinois this fall to study biomedical engineering and biology with an ultimate goal to become a doctor.
He was one of 24 members of the inaugural year of Huntley High’s Youth Residency Program in partnership with Centegra Health System. The program, believed to be the only of its kind in the country, provides students with intensive hands-on experiences and mentoring from healthcare professionals at Centegra facilities.
Harpal became a familiar face to millions of Americans when a photo of him accompanied an Associated Press article on the program that ran in news outlets across the country in December 2016.
