Huntley High School baseball coach Andy Jakubowski will be inducted to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on January 25.

Jakubowski has been at the helm of the Red Raider baseball program for the past 15 years. Over that time he has amassed a record of 327-192-2. Including his prior coaching stints at other schools, his career record is 422-308-2.

“When I look at the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association, who’s in the Hall of Fame, and seeing Gordie Gillespie, (Barrington) coach Kirby Smith, (Lockport) coach Jim Hall, it’s an impressive list,” Jakubowski told the Daily Herald.” I never really think of myself in their league, and just to be nominated and accepted is quite an honor.”
