Marcus Belin, principal of Huntley High School, has been named Principal of the Year for the Illinois Principals Association Kishwaukee Region.

He received the honor at the IPA Regional Meeting on January 29. Several other District administrators were in attendance to cheer him on.

Belin’s nomination emphasized the student-centered culture he has championed at HHS, direct engagement with students, and setting of a positive tone for all students.

He was named principal of HHS in 2018 after beginning his career as a teacher and administrator in Peoria. He also serves the IPA as chair of its legislation committee.

Congratulations, Mr. Belin!
