Huntley High School senior David Ferrante claimed the IHSA Class 3A 170-pound title on Saturday, making him a two-time state champion following his top finish in 2019 and leading the Red Raiders team that has a number of top individual finishes.

Ferrante is committed to wrestle collegiately at Northwestern University. His championship last year marked the school’s first individual wrestling championship.

Several other Red Raiders saw success as well.

Junior Jeremy Jakowitsch placed third in the 138-pound weight class.
