Huntley 158 mourns the passing of Eugene “Gene” Goeglein. During his time in Huntley 158, Mr. Goeglein had a great impact on numerous students as well as his fellow staff members.

Mr. Goeglein served as principal of Huntley High School from 1987 to 1995.

“He was a great mentor to me and much more than that he was a true friend,” said Terry Awrey, a longtime District administrator who retired as associate superintendent in 2018. “All I can say is that I loved the man and will miss him dearly.”
