Bri Bower

Huntley High School senior Brianna Bower has exhibited dominance over opponents on the softball field, helping the Red Raiders to an 11-game win streak through the heart of the season. Bower, who will play collegiately at Mississippi State, has had a historic run both on the mound and at the plate.

As reported in the Northwest Herald, “in six games last week, Bower was 6-0 and compiled a perfect 0.00 ERA with 97 strikeouts and six walks across 37 innings. She added two homers and finished the week with a .764 batting average.”

She capped off that stretch with a perfect game in a five-inning win over Burlington Central on May 6.

“Bri this last week has really stepped it up, not only on the mound, but offensively,” said coach Mark Petryniec.

Bower helped lead the Red Raiders to the Class 4A state championship in 2019 as a sophomore.
