Huntley 158 Seal

Dear Huntley 158 Staff and Families,

Late Friday night, the CDC updated it’s guidelines and will no longer require universal masking on school buses based on the previous federal regulation. Therefore, beginning tomorrow, Monday, February 28, masks will be strongly recommended on Huntley 158 school buses. We will continue to engage current efforts to increase air circulation on buses, such as opening windows or roof vents, weather permitting, for increased air quality. If you have any questions about your child’s transportation needs, please contact the transportation office at 847-659-3000.

Please also note that masks will continue to be strongly recommended for students and staff in our buildings, in accordance with Governor Pritzker’s announcement on Friday, February 26 to include schools with all other community settings in lifting the state mask mandate. We will continue to review and evaluate the CDC’s revised guidance to inform our most up to date mitigation measures in our buildings and will provide further details as necessary. Thank you for your continued cooperation in ensuring that our schools remain safe and open for our students.

Thank you,

Scott Rowe, Ed.D.
Superintendent
