students boarding the bus on the last day of school

It’s hard to believe, but it’s already time to start preparing for the 2022-23 Back to School season! Below are some links with useful information for families:

2022-23 Transportation Selection Survey

Huntley Community School District 158 is once again surveying our families regarding their transportation needs to gain a better understanding of our daily ridership to assist in the route development and any changes in our routing processes. This process is not an indication of limited resources, but rather a way to ensure we have the best possible routes developed at the start of the school year to minimize changes later on in the year. Please complete the form below to submit your student(s)’ transportation selections by July 29, 2022. This form must be completed for EACH student in your household.

Transportation Service Selections for 2022-2023  School Year  – English

Selección de Servicios de Transporte para el Año Escolar 2022-2023 – Espanol

This does not keep your student from future ridership. If your circumstances change and you need transportation, please notify the transportation department with at least 3 days notice. This helps us to ensure all stakeholders are aware of any routing changes or AM/PM selection.

Route Posting
Routes will be available to view starting July 25, 2022 through PowerSchool. Please continue to check route information as it will change as more students register. No changes will be made to routes from August 10, 2022 until September 5, 2022  in order to ensure consistent route assignments.

Babysitting Forms
All babysitting forms need to be filled out and emailed to [email protected] no later than July 29, 2022. Please remember that this form needs to be filled out EVERY YEAR regardless if the sitter information has not changed from the previous year. Also, keep in mind that sitter information needs to be 5 days a week at the same location. Morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) can be listed at different locations (i.e. morning pick up can take place at home and afternoon drop off can take place at a designated sitter location or vice versa).

Health Services Forms Required for First Day of School

As we approach the start of the 2022-23 school year, we’d like to remind you that any student entering Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, 9th, or 12th grade must submit required health documents, as required by Illinois School Code and Huntley 158’s school policy in order for a student to attend school.

Families will need to provide the following documentation for their student by the first day of student attendance on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.  Huntley 158 has a first day exclusion policy, which means that students must be excluded from school if they have not provided the necessary documentation to our health services offices. If you feel you have an extenuating circumstance that will prevent you from meeting that deadline, please reach out to your building nurse to discuss possible options as soon as possible.

  • Kindergarten Students: Physical exam, up to date immunizations, dental exam, and eye exam
  • Second Grade Students: Dental exam
