Dear Huntley 158 Staff & Families,
With the first day of school right around the corner and back to school shopping in full swing, we’d like to make you aware of the Illinois School Supplies Sales Tax Holiday, which begins tomorrow across the state. As part of the Illinois state budget, consumers can purchase school-related clothing and supplies while paying reduced sales tax. The state’s portion of sales tax due throughout the holiday is reduced by five percent from 6.25 percent (6.25%) to 1.25 percent (1.25%).
The 10-day tax holiday will begin tomorrow, Friday, August 5 and extend through Sunday, August 14.

Please note, the Early Childhood Center and Huntley High School do not have formal school supply lists. The ECC will provide all needed materials. High school students are encouraged to come prepared with materials they are comfortable with to help them best learn in their own style.
