Huntley 158 Students, Parents & Community:

RAD is back! We are excited to welcome back the first community event to kick off Huntley High School’s staff & student-led organization, Recognizing American Diversity (RAD). Join us on Friday, September 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to celebrate LatinX Heritage and Culture! This is a FREE event for all ages and it will be held in the Huntley High School parking lot (outside Door 1).

There will be games, activities, food trucks and LatinX entertainment!

The goals of Recognizing American Diversity (RAD) are to recognize, celebrate, and discover diverse perspectives and identities that have historically been underrepresented.  They work from the assumption that everyone benefits and grows from knowing more about one another.  Our Huntley community, and our country, is a collection of identities and beliefs, and we know that any one person rarely identifies with only a single group or identity.

For more information about RAD and a list of this month’s events, visit their website here. Consider getting involved to help highlight LatinX culture and stay tuned for more opportunities to recognize diversity in our schools and across the community.
