HHS Sophomores and Juniors,
The application window for the Medical Academy is now open. Current sophomores and juniors who have taken or are enrolled in at least one medical academy class may apply to the Medical Academy.
Being a part of the Medical Academy allows you to enroll in courses specific to the medical field such as Sports Medicine, Medical English IV, Medical Ethics, PLTW Medical Interventions, PLTW Biomedical Interventions and others. There will be field trip opportunities as well as job shadowing opportunities that other students will not have access to.
As part of the Medical Academy, you may opt to receive a transcript designation or certificate of completion stating that you were involved in the Medical Academy at Huntley High School. For all information regarding the Medical Academy, please visit the Medical Academy website.
The application process involves the student application, short essay, teacher recommendation, parent form completion and an interview. The first part of the application is due October 16th, so if you have any interest, please visit the Medical Academy website for all forms, dates and information.
