1:1 Device Distribution

Devices will be checked out to students at Material Pickup. Freshmen and Juniors MUST bring their current chrome books and chargers with them to turn in and be issued a new device. Students will have step-by-step procedures to follow (with the help of staff members) to log in and connect to wifi properly. This process is very important and will require the student to be present to have the device checked out to them with a student ID card and Google credentials. Any student unable to attend may check out their device from the Technology Help Desk in room C1122 on the first day of school.

Registration

Please ensure your registration is completed through the Web Store before material pick-up days. As a reminder, no student will be able to attend classes until they have registered and paid fees.

School Pictures

During material pick-up days, students will be photographed for the yearbook. Any student unable to have their picture taken during material pick up will have an opportunity for make-ups in October.

Schedule Changes

Students can only make elective changes within the same class period. No elective schedule changes will be made after the first day of school. Below are reasons to see your counselor on material pick-up days:

  • No class scheduled for a particular period
  • Missing lunch
  • Scheduled to take a class you have already passed
  • Senior missing a graduation requirement
  • Elective course change if possible in the existing schedule

Book Checkout

All books checked out to students at Material Pick Up must be returned to the school and properly scanned back into the system to give the student credit for returning the book. We will provide an opportunity to return books at the end of each semester for all students. If a schedule change occurs for any other reason a student no longer needs a book, it is the responsibility of the student to return the book to their Pod.

Failure to properly return the book may result in the student being charged to replace the book if it cannot be recovered. Failure to return books or other checked-out materials or pay the cost to replace the books or materials in full may result in diplomas and transcripts being held until they are returned. Students should never turn in textbooks to a teacher. If a mid-year exit occurs, they must be returned to either the book room at the proper return time or to the East Pod office.

Student Lockers

Freshmen: All freshmen will have lockers assigned to them.

Sophomores – Seniors: Upperclassmen will not have lockers assigned automatically. If you would like to request a locker, please complete this form (coming soon).

Freshmen Raider Rally

The Raider Rally is a Huntley High School Tradition! This is the 17th year the Rally will run to welcome the newest freshman class to our beautiful school. The Raider Rally is hosted by a group of upperclassmen students known as Link Crew leaders. The goal of the Rally is to make the Class of 2027 feel welcome, meet a few new people, take a tour and gain advice from upperclassmen that have found success at HHS.

Raider Rally will take place on August 11, 2023!

Freshmen arrive at 8 am for an energy-filled whole group welcome in the East Gym. They will then break into small groups and head out to a classroom to participate in icebreaker activities with 2-3 Link Crew Leaders. Lastly, students will participate in a tour of the building. Freshmen leave the Rally with a sense of relief and excitement for the start of school!

Details: Freshmen should wear comfortable clothes/gym shoes and be prepared to sit on a classroom floor. Please eat breakfast before attending. They do not need to bring anything.  Drop-off is on the east side of the building at door 10 at 8 am. Transportation is not provided. Pick up in the same location at noon.

Back to School Night

We encourage all parents and guardians to attend Back to School Night on August 29, 2023. Please bring your student’s schedule to tour the building and visit your child’s teachers. More information will follow as August 29 approaches.
