Principal William Johnson

Mr. Johnson was named principal of Marlowe Middle School at the outset of the 2021-22 school year. He is a known quantity within Huntley 158, having served as our Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Grades 6-12 since 2018. In that role, he has been responsible for leading and implementing learning initiatives across our middle and high school curricula. He has worked directly with our middle and high school staff and administration to guide the growth of our industry-leading Vanguard Vision Competency-based Education Program, dual enrollment programs with McHenry County College, middle school exploratory classes, and career-focused curricula in the areas of computer science, robotics, and welding, among many other accomplishments. In addition to his role within our Center for Learning and Innovation, Mr. Johnson has served as a member of the United States Army Reserve since 2003, and currently holds the rank of Master Sergeant.


Mr. Johnson previously served as a high school Spanish teacher and teacher’s assistant for students in a self-contained education setting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and international business from North Central College, a master’s degree in education from St. Xavier University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lewis University.

Teresa Brandt

Mrs. Brandt joined the Marlowe team at the onset of the 2023-24 school year and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing special services at Marlowe Middle School. Prior to beginning her role as an administrator in D158, Mrs. Brandt’s professional experience includes time spent as a social worker, behavior coach and intervention coordinator. Mrs. Brandt earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Roosevelt University and her master’s degree in social work from Dominican University. She also holds a second master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University.
