Joy Harjo reads and discussed her poem “Exile of Memory” on August 5, 2020, from her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Harjo is the 23rd Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress, and the first Native American poet to serve in the position. Harjo is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
