Principal Andrew Gibbs

Mr. Gibbs was named principal of Heineman Middle School in the beginning of the 2023-24 school year.

Mr. Gibbs has previously served as the principal of Three Oaks Elementary School in Cary School District 26 for five years. In this role, he has developed collaborative relationships with parents and community members, worked to improve student behavioral outcomes through PBIS, and strengthened professional development opportunities in math, reading and other areas. Prior to his position at Three Oaks Elementary School, Mr. Gibbs has gained experience as an assistant principal and has also served as principal of Blackberry Creek Elementary School in Kaneland School District 302. 

In addition to his experience as a building leader, Mr. Gibbs has amassed over 12 years of experience working with students in the classroom. Since beginning his career in 1997, Mr. Gibbs has taught elementary school, middle school and has served as a middle school dean of students. It is this rich educational background that has provided Mr. Gibbs with a lifelong love of learning, in addition to an understanding of how the roles of staff, students and families intertwine to foster a successful school community.

Alicia Parker
Mrs. Alicia Parker
Assistant Principal for Special Services

Mrs. Parker has been a part of the Huntley 158 team for more than a decade.

She taught special education at Marlowe Middle School before moving into administration, first as a special education coordinator and then as a teacher on special assignment (assistant principal) at Marlowe. She began her career at Giant Steps in Burr Ridge, where she provided services to students with autism.

She has been in her current role at Heineman since 2019. As assistant principal, she is responsible for coordinating the school’s special education services.

She earned her bachelor’s degree at Western Illinois University and her master’s in educational administration at Aurora University.

Rebecca La Porta
Assistant Principal

Rebecca La Porta was named Assistant Principal at Heineman Middle School in the 2021-2022 school year! In this role, Becca is responsible for student discipline, attendance, athletics and activities, and more.

Becca comes to us from Lake Zurich High School where she was Dean of Students from 2018-2021. Prior to administration, Becca taught high school Mathematics at Richmond-Burton High School where she also coached Cheerleading and Special Olympics.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and secondary education from the University of Iowa and completed her master’s degree in educational leadership at Concordia University Chicago. Becca enjoys spending time with family, including her son and puppy, being outside, music, and art.
