Principal
Ms. Henson began her tenure as principal of Chesak Elementary in 2021-22. She has been a part of the Huntley 158 community since July 2019, formerly as the assistant principal at Leggee Elementary School.
In both of her leadership roles within the District, Ms. Henson has led curriculum initiatives, managed students’ social and academic progress, and has formed quality relationships with families through opportunities for community and parent engagement at the K-5 level.
She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and holds Master of Arts degrees in school leadership, curriculum and instruction, and reading from Concordia University, Dominican University, and St. Xavier University.

Assistant Principal
Mrs. Belin assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Chesak Elementary School in the 2023-24 academic year, bringing with her a wealth of experience within the Huntley 158 community since July 2018. Her journey within the district began as a classroom teacher and instructional coach.
Throughout her tenure as an educator, Mrs. Belin has demonstrated leadership in spearheading curriculum initiatives, fostering meaningful connections with families and the community, and has served on committees that have helped improve the development of school improvement plans.
She is an alumna of Bradley University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Further enhancing her expertise, Mrs. Belin holds a master’s degree in school leadership and curriculum and instruction from National Louis University.
