Schools in District 158 have been named after people who have had a major influence on the education of our children. Hannah Martin was an educator in Kane and McHenry counties for sixty years. Fifty-five of those years were spent in the Huntley School District. She retired in 1965 and passed away on February 6, 1981.

Martin Elementary opened in the Fall of 2002, housing grades three, four, and five. Martin was the trailblazing school in District 158 for 1-to-1 learning in 2013. 1-to-1 means 1 digital learning device for every student. At Martin, we feel it is our responsibility to prepare our students for their next three schools: Marlowe Middle School, Huntley High School, and a college or university, if desired.
