Student nomination statement:
“Mrs. Johnson creates a fun learning environment while establishing personal connections to each and every one of her students. Personally, I normally despise going to English class. But this year, because of Mrs. Johnson, English is the class I look forward to nearly every day. When I pass her in the hallways, she always gives a friendly wave, and occasionally we stop and chat about the books we are reading in class. The discussions that she sparks in her classes engage the whole class, and are over interesting topics that relate to students, which encourages more students to voice their opinion. Overall, Mrs. Johnson is in my opinion one of the best teachers Huntley High School has to offer.”
