The Parent Tot Center (PTC) is located at the District 158’s Early Childhood Center, room 328 at Chesak Elementary School, Door 4, on the Reed Road Campus.
Parent Tot is a drop in center that is open only to District 158 residents, and proof of residency is required. The program is fee based; $25 per year/ per child. This yearly fee includes unlimited playgroups, programs/classes/concerts or events sponsored by the Parent Tot Program; you must be registered for the Parent Tot Program and a paid participant in order to attend playgroups or special events.
The program is structured for children, birth-3 years old but children ages 4 and under the age of 5 years old, as of September 1, 2016, are welcome to attend as well. Children under the age of 1 year old as of September 1, 2016 are free.
At the center parents and children can interact with each other in an age appropriate and stimulating environment, network with other families and find resource materials on various subjects related to children.
The Parent Tot Center has many toys, crafts activities, children’s books and DVD’s, parenting books, magazines, brochures and take home activities available for checkout. Throughout the school year the Parent Tot Program will sponsor family nights, concerts, storytelling and musical events and parent classes. - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:15-11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon AND 1:00-2:45 p.m.
- (We are not open for play on Fridays, as they are reserved for special events and require advance sign-up.)
