Recognizing American Diversity will be hosting their next community event, Rainbow Fun Run, on Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Heineman Middle School!
This FREE color fun run/walk celebrating the LGBTQ community, will feature a fabulous promenade where people can strut their style, local food vendors, music, photo booth, and more. Participants will have the option to run or walk two loops with five color stations (eyewear is recommended!) with white shirts for sale for $7. There will also be a space to donate gently used clothing, accessories, makeup, and wigs on behalf of the Out of the Closet Organization.
The goals of Huntley 158’s Recognizing American Diversity (RAD) initiative are to recognize, celebrate and discover diverse perspectives and identities that have historically been underrepresented. Each month, we host one community event that celebrates diverse voices and provides us with opportunities to discover more about the community and cultures all around us.
