In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, a grave crisis is brewing. It is every father’s worst nightmare but in reverse. Daughter Wednesday, the ultimate Princess of Darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a “normal” young man, Lucas Beineke, from a respectable Ohio family—not even remotely fiendish. Worse, the romance seems to have turned the steadfastly gloomy Addams girl downright cheery, leaving her family very worried and distressed. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his parents so they can become better acquainted with the entire Addams family.

Authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, creators of the Jersey Boys, and Drama Desk Award-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa, bring the frightfully delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch to life in this story, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams.

Huntley’s production of The Addams Family: A New Musical, led by director Lexy Taxon and assistant director Kayleigh Bella, and choreography by Cadence Niccum, orchestra direction by Kevin Krivosik, and technical direction by Stuart Wilson, promises to delight audiences with humor, an original story, song and dance, and all your favorite Addams Family characters.

Performances are April 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm and April 23 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for District 158 students and can be purchased at D158.Ticketleap.com. All tickets are general seating. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time.
