UPDATE (September 30, 2022): Our partners through the University of Illinois SHIELD testing program are no longer able to accommodate voluntary COVID-19 testing in Huntley 158. Due to low turnout and limited resources, weekly saliva testing will be discontinued in Huntley 158 as of October 1, 2022. Both in-person and take home testing will no longer be available on Wednesday afternoons at Martin Elementary School. If you or your child participated in testing on Wednesday, September 28, these final test results will be available in your SHIELD portal as normal.
BinaxNOW rapid tests will still be available in our nurses offices for use on an as needed basis. Please keep in mind that these tests are intended for use only for individuals who become symptomatic during the course of the school day. If a staff member or student is experiencing symptoms, they should stay home from school and seek COVID-19 testing outside of the district. If your child is eligible for BinaxNOW testing during the school day, a school nurse will reach out to the parent or guardian for consent prior to testing.
