Rocio del Castillo

Biography

Dr. Rocio del Castillo was named assistant superintendent of special services beginning in the 2019-20 school year. Prior to this position, Dr. del Castillo was director of curriculum overseeing bilingual programs, including the launch and growth of the District’s Dual Language Program. Prior to joining Huntley 158, she oversaw West Chicago Elementary District 33’s large bilingual program and previously was principal of a private school. A native of Peru, Dr. del Castillo completed training as a school psychologist at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and Universidad Nacional Andres Bello before beginning her career in the American education system. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Quincy University, a master’s degree in educational administration from Concordia University-Chicago and a doctorate in educational leadership from Aurora University.


Sue Waughon

Biography

Sue joined the District from Park Ridge Niles School District 64, where she was Assistant Director of Special Education. Previously, she was a Pupil Services Administrator at Hinsdale School District 181 for eight years. She began her career in public schools as a social worker, mostly supporting students in elementary grades at Geneva School District 304. Also while in Geneva School District 304, Sue served in the roles of Social Work Team Leader and Student Assistant Coordinator. Prior to work in public schools, she worked with agencies that supported adults with different abilities. She holds two master’s degrees from Aurora University in educational leadership and social work. She completed her dissertation work at Northcentral University to earn a doctorate degree in special education.


Jackie Allen

Biography

Jackie joined District 158 in 2018 as a coordinator and became the director of special services for elementary in 2021-22. She began her career working with Pre-k through fifth graders as a speech therapist for 8 years. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Communication Disorders – Speech Pathology from the University Of Northern Iowa and graduated with her Masters in Educational Leadership from Aurora University in 2018. Jackie is thrilled to partner with the Special Services team in supporting our D158 community, family, and students!

Keith Panke

Keith Panke
Assistant Principal for Special Services, Marlowe Middle School

Biography

Mr. Panke was hired in the Huntley Community School District August of 2011 as one of the HHS SES program teachers. He initially graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. After moving out west to Lake Tahoe, CA to explore and experience, he discovered his career as a teacher.  Mr. Panke spent five years in Las Vegas due to great incentives that allowed him to begin his career in education. He went back to school once working in this district to complete a School Leadership Program. Mr. Panke is excited to have the opportunity to improve student success by implementing the special education process at Marlowe.


Alicia Parker

Biography

Alicia Parker joined Heineman as assistant principal for the 2019-20 school year. She is a graduate from Western Illinois University and completed her Administration degree through Aurora University. She currently pursuing her Leadership in Special Education certificate. Alicia began her career at Giant Steps in Burr Ridge which services students from surrounding districts with Autism. She was hired to join the District 158 team at Marlowe Middle School beginning in 2008.

KC currently serves at the Early Childhood Center and Leggee Elementary School embracing collaborative supportive inclusionary practices in the school communities.



Kari Breese

Biography

Ms. Kari Breese joined District 158 team in 2018 after working as a special education teacher for students in the low-incidence population for the previous 11 years. She is a graduate from Western Illinois University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Ms. Breese continued her education and received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Ms. Breese is proud to team with District 158 to support all students as they seek success.
